Scholarship Selection Criteria

Scholarships will be provided to student-athletes who have endured and overcome a challenging hardship (some examples noted below) and maintaining an above-average GPA

  • GPA: 2.5 or above

  • Essay or video: Submit 500 word essay describing the challenge or hardship faced and lessons learned

  • Personal Interview: 15-30 minute interview with selection committee

  • Eligibility: Current junior or senior student-athlete attending one of our targeted high-schools and meets the criteria on this page

Hardship Criteria

We believe in the power of each individual’s story so the list below provides a summary of just some challenges or hardships.

  • Death of immediate family member while in high school

  • Terminal illness of self or immediate family member while in high school

  • Parent incarcerated while in high school

  • Sub-optimal housing / loss of family home

  • Season-ending injury during junior or senior year

Round 1:

Scholarship applications must be submitted by March 31, 2022. Applications will be reviewed by the Board of Directors.

Round 2:

Select applicants will be invited to interview with our Board of Directors and Advisors

Scholarship winners will be notified by phone and/or e-mail.
